Decibel 'Testify' Chardonnay 2020

This single-vineyard Chardonnay comes from the Te Awanga hills of Hawke’s Bay, just inland from the Pacific Ocean. The site’s abundant sunshine, cool nights and cooling ocean breezes produce beautifully opulent fruit balanced by remarkable natural acidity. Sourced from Clone 15, the fruit was handpicked and whole-bunch pressed before fermentation in a mix of new, one-year-old and older French oak barriques and puncheons. A combination of indigenous and selected yeasts was used, with frequent lees stirring through fermentation, malolactic fermentation and the following winter and spring to build texture and richness.
Honeysuckle, caramel apple, cinnamon and chalky mineral notes lead into a rich, generous palate that quickly tightens into firm minerality and supple, juicy acidity. A beautifully balanced expression of Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay, combining sun-drenched fruit richness with the tension and freshness of its ocean-front site.

Per Michigan state law, alcohol returns may only be accepted if the product is demonstrably spoiled or contaminated or the container is damaged to the extent that the contents would be of an unsanitary nature or unfit for consumption. If your wine is ‘corked’ or otherwise spoiled, please re-cork/close it and bring it to the shop for inspection; do not empty the container and bring an empty bottle. Under these circumstances, the alcohol can be returned for a full refund or exchanged.
